Pre-Repair Chat allows auto body shops to send text or email messages to customers immediately after creating a repair opportunity. Unlike traditional workflows that required the vehicle to be checked in first, this feature enables proactive communication from the moment contact details are saved.

How to Start Using Pre-Repair Chat 

Good news—this feature is already enabled for CCC customers with the UpdatePlus package and the latest CCC ONE desktop update (R47).

Here’s how to get started:

1. Create or Open a Repair Opportunity: Log into CCC ONE and create a new opportunity or assignment.

2. Set Communication Preferences: Add the customer’s contact details and select their preferred communication method.

3. Send a Message: Save the workfile, go to the Notes tab, and click on "Contact Customer." Select or create a message, then hit "Send."
